Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data AEGIS SOVEREIGN collects through aegis-sovereign.com, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to respond to genuine enquiries.
01 Who we are
AEGIS SOVEREIGN is the data controller for information collected through this website.

02 What we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. When you submit the Request a Briefing form, we collect the details you enter:
- Your name and work email address
- Your organisation, role, and country
- Your organisation type and area of interest
- Any message you include describing your mandate or use case
Like most websites, our hosting and content providers automatically log basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type when pages and assets load. We do not use this to identify you.
03 Cookies & tracking
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. We do not build visitor profiles. Fonts, code libraries, and media are served by the providers listed in section 05, which receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering those files.
04 How and why we use your data
We use the information you submit solely to:
- Respond to your briefing request and correspond with you about it
- Understand your needs so we can prepare a relevant discussion
- Keep a record of legitimate business enquiries
Our lawful basis is your consent in submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or unsolicited marketing.
05 Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run the site and handle enquiries:
- Netlify — website hosting and secure delivery of the briefing form
- Google Workspace — email, used to receive and reply to your enquiry
- Cloudinary, Cloudflare, and Google Fonts — delivery of images, video, code libraries, and fonts
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Because they operate global infrastructure, your data may be processed on servers located outside Uganda; we rely on their contractual and technical safeguards for such transfers.
06 How long we keep it
We retain briefing enquiries only for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable record of our business relationship. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time (see section 08).
07 How we protect it
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and access to submitted enquiries is restricted to authorised members of our team. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
08 Your rights
Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 — and consistent with international standards — you may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Delete your data or withdraw your consent
- Object to or restrict how we use your data
To exercise any of these rights, email engage@aegis-sovereign.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.
09 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations evolve. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
